Transforming familiar everyday foods into imaginative artworks gives young children a dynamic platform for tactile exploration and creative problem-solving. In our Summer Art Program at Rookids BGC, young artists stepped into the roles of pizza chefs and designers, using the exploratory Noljak approach to create one-of-a-kind culinary craft pieces.
As a premier art school in BGC, Rookids focuses on turning hands-on play into meaningful creative discovery. Through cutting, layering, painting, and assembling various tactile materials, the children designed original pizza slices—imagining toppings like rainbow cheese, marshmallow mushrooms, and heart-shaped pepperoni. Every topping represented an intentional choice, transforming simple paper and mixed media into rich, story-driven designs.
Our approach to kids art in BGC shows children that art is not about making a rigid, "perfect" copy, but about exercising imagination with confidence. Through this joyful art class BGC session, students strengthened fine motor skills, compositional balance, and the pride of bringing their unique ideas to life.
