The best ideas often grow from the smallest, most careful observations. In our Noljak Basic creative class, young artists at Rookids BGC brought a whimsical world of forest wonders to life by constructing their very own 3D mushroom villages.
The project began with an in-depth exploration of real mushrooms. Moving from 2D observation to 3D execution, the children thoughtfully planned and measured the sizes of their houses, cut each structural piece from cardboard, and assembled them into standing villages. By layering acrylic paint, oil pastels, and colored pencils, they experimented with diverse coloring materials to give each mushroom home a unique texture, rich color palette, and distinct personality.
Through this hands-on makers' process, our students successfully practiced structuring proper forms and significantly strengthened their spatial awareness. At Rookids BGC, we value these meaningful journeys where close observation naturally transitions into imaginative storytelling and creative confidence.
