In our Open Art class at Rookids BGC, young artists explored the rich possibilities of canvas art through an expressive portrait activity.
Guided by structured instruction, the students experimented with refined brushstrokes to construct dynamic facial features, flowing hair, and vivid decorative details. Rather than adhering to rigid realism, the lesson encouraged children to explore color layering, brush angles, and painterly textures, allowing each portrait to radiate depth and distinct personality.
