True creativity blooms when children connect deeply with the intricate details of the natural world. During our Summer Art Program, young artists at Rookids BGC explored the organic beauty of flowers through scientific observation and artistic expression.
The session began with the children carefully tracing a variety of botanical specimens using a transparent film, allowing them to analyze structural lines and shapes while meticulously matching each bloom's unique color palette. Transitioning from structural analysis to imaginative design, the students composed their own cheerful flower baskets and vases. They utilized watercolor techniques to wash vibrant, fluid backgrounds, bringing their personalized floral arrangements to life with remarkable color control and imagination.
At Rookids BGC, we believe that these process-driven creative journeys empower children to observe the inherent beauty around them, express their individual ideas with confidence, and bloom through joyful, structured learning.
